UNC Honors Program
New & Future Students
Welcome to the University of Northern Colorado Honors Program! We welcome all students who are interested in expanding their learning environment.
The Honors Program offers students academic enhancements in their educational experience by allowing them to expand their learning in interdisciplinary subjects and also focus more closely on their own academic area of interest.
Additionally, the community of students and scholars who make up the University Honors Program are engaged in service and social activities which give students the chance to interact with faculty and other members of the extended Honors community in settings outside the classroom.
Honors Application Deadline: Rolling Deadline. Incoming Freshmen should apply as soon as possible in order to be able to register for Freshmen Honors Courses.
Honors Application Deadline for 2013 new Freshmen interested in the Honors Residential Learning Community was March 1st. Students may still qualify for Honors Housing on a space available basis only.
- Placement in the Honors RLC is on a first come, first serve basis. Honors students are not required to live in the Honors RLC and may choose other housing options.
- To select the Honors RLC, Students must BOTH apply for the Honors Program with the Honors Application, AND select the Honors RLC option on their housing contract (South Hall.) If a student has already turned in a Housing Contract, please contact us at honors@unco.edu with your request and we can forward it to Housing for the change.
