UNC Honors Program

Current Honors Students

Honors students are part of the rich and diverse community within the Center for Honors, Scholars & Leadership. Students in the program have opportunities to take a variety of interdisciplinary course and experiential learning options as part of their studies. They also receive honors independent study credit for conducting an independent research project in junior and senior year.  Links to specific program requirements, honors advising information, and course registration information can be found at left, along with other key non-course information about the Honors Program.

Honors students belong to one of the university’s most active student organizations, the Student Honors Council. The Council coordinates monthly pizza seminars, various community service projects, and other events, many of which are planned in collaboration with students from other programs in the center.  The Council also sponsors or co-sponsors such campus-wide events as the International Film Series, Works in Progress Symposium, and Research Day.  Please check out the Council’s link and the link to News & Events to learn more.
