President's Leadership Program
If you’re the type of person who seeks life-changing experiences and wants to inspire other’s lives too, then checkout UNC’s President’s Leadership Program. PLP is a four-year program that helps students explore their values, expand their skill set of leadership tools, and prepare them for leadership positions beyond college.
PLP students are selected for their leadership experience and potential, academic excellence and demonstrated interest outside of self.
What to expect once you apply
Upon receiving your application, our recruiting and selection coordinator will email you to let you know that we (A) received your application; (B) whether it is complete or not; and (C) what the next steps are.
We will contact you as soon as possible regarding your status as a candidate for the interview process. Approximately 40 students will be interviewed for the 25 spaces in the program.
The interview process is as follows:
- In person interview required; (Skype interviews allowed for students out of state or out of the country).
- Twenty minute panel interviews with up to eight community members serving on the panel
- Interviews will be conducted at UNC as well as potentially at other locations around Colorado. The locations and times are TBD. For applications that have already been processed expect to hear from us in mid to late April regarding whether you will move on to the interview process.
A letter will be sent by the end of May, regarding your admission into the program.
If selected to be in the PLP class of 2015, we request that you attend one of the first four New Student Orientation dates.
