What is Social Justice
The Center for Non-Violence and Social Justice defines Social Justice as the vision of a society that is equitable and in which all members are physically and psychologically safe. Social justice also demands that all people have a right to basic human dignity and to have their basic economic needs met.
One of the biggest parts of social justice is being aware of local and global issues; being involved in your community is a great way to learn about these issues and be able to create awareness. Here at the University of Northern Colorado we have created programs, retreats, and a variety of events to give the UNC community an opportunity to get involved and become a change agent and an ally.
