The Den
University Housing & Residence Life is excited to offer a new academic resource center on campus, located in Harrison Hall. The name? The Den.
What The Den Has to Offer
Choose to sit on the new couches or loveseats, or pull yourself up to a table where you can spread your textbooks out for maximum study. The Den has lots of amenities to make your studying as comfortable as possible. The amenities include:
Wireless internet
A moveable dry erase board
Spaces for small group study
Seating for up to 50 students
Magazine racks
Couches, loveseats, and overstuffed chairs
Student Artwork provided by the College of Performing and Visual Arts

To best serve the varied study times of all students, The Den is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and open to ALL RESIDENTS in ALL residence halls!!
The Academic Support & Advising Office (ASA) provides evening tutoring and academic advising appointments. To access these services, students must go to ASA on the Garden Level of Michener Library in person to set up an appointment. Evening tutoring and academic advising hours are as follows

Special Events
Thursday Tea
Every Thursday from 3-5pm, the staff in The Den provide 'Thursday Tea', a time for students, faculty, and staff to gather and discuss matters pertinent to UNC. Currently we have regular attendees each Thursday that come in to enjoy meeting in a different environment than their office, study, have quiet relaxed conversations, or read textbooks or novels. Tea makes each of these activities so much better! If you attend on a regular basis, come tell us what kind of tea you like, and we will do our best to provide it!
Faculty discussion series
For a few nights each semester, faculty come in to talk about pertinent topics for today's students. Check back for details on when the next lecture will occur.
