Student Summer Housing

The contract for Summer housing will be online this year. Log into the Housing & Residential Education website to apply. Please contact the Housing & Residential Education office at 970-351-2721 for any questions.

  • Students that are enrolled for the 6-, 8-, or 12-week summer sessions can sign up for summer housing in the residence halls. Only students that are enrolled in these sessions are eligible.
  • Students can live in the North residence hall on a designated "students only" floor. Students who live on this floor must bring their own sheets, towels, TP, and any supplies needed for the summer. A community kitchen is available for your use on the "student only" floor. It will be your responsibility to keep your room and the student floor's kitchen clean when you use it. You will need a UNC student ID card to access the building and your room. All costs for housing will be applied to your student URSA account.
  • If you are not living on UNC's campus for Fall semester 2012, a $200 housing deposit will be required. If there are no damages to your room at checkout time, the housing deposit will be refunded back to your student URSA account. If you are living on UNC's campus for Fall 2012, and have a completed housing application on file with the Housing & Residential Education office, then a $200 housing deposit will not be required.
  • University Apartments also offers a month-to-month lease for the summer.

Short-Term Summer Visitor Housing and Summer Conference Housing

Summer housing at UNC begins mid-May and stays open through early August. You do not need to be affiliated with UNC to stay on campus.

Reservations for on-campus short-term summer visitor housing are available if you would like to stay on campus for six weeks or less. For overnight summer visitor housing, rooms are available in the North Hall. However, if you are arriving with a conference, camp, training session, or New Student Orientation, you would be housed in facilities other than the North hall.

Please be aware that the cost of housing is separate from institute fees. Housing accommodations can be reserved with a Master Card, Visa or Discover card and all housing costs must be paid in full at the time of registration.
