Current Applications Being Accepted

The current application process is for those students interested in a RA position for a start date of January 2011.

Qualifications for current RA selection process include:

  • Must have lived on campus for at least one full semester by end of Fall 2010 semester
  • Must be qualified as a sophomore and have completed at least 30 credit hours by end of Fall 2010 semester
  • Must have an overall Cumulative GPA of at least 2.5

Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, November 4th, 2010.

Additional Note: The application process for Fall 2010 positions with a start date of August 2011 will begin in early December.

The Application Process

Step 1: Complete an Online Application through URSA.
Step 2: Check your email! Career Services will email your Bear account to set up your interview.
Step 3: Set up an interview time with Career Services via the website. Interviews will be conducted the week of November 8th, 2010.
Step 4: Upload your resume through the Career Services website.
Step 5: Have Reference Form Completed and bring to your interview.
Step 6: Complete your Interview.

Q & A Night

You are encouraged to attend the RA Position Q & A Session to be held on Thursday, October 28th beginning at 7:00 p.m. in South Hall located on West Campus. This will be a one-hour session that includes a Resident Assistant position overview, a question and answer session with current RAs, and time with Career Services professionals to learn great interviewing and resume building techniques. Career Services will also be working with attendees to help you in setting up your interview times.

 Selection Process for Spring 2011 Positions – start date January 2011

Applicants will be notified the week of November 22nd, 2010 via email of their application status. Applicants will be offered a RA position, offered an alternate position, OR not offered a position. Applicants will be asked to follow the instructions on the letter for notification of acceptance/decline.
