Summer Employment

    Thank you for your interest in summer employment at UNC. The applications for the positions listed below are now closed.

    • Summer Resident Assistant - 2 Positions - both begin May 7th.  Each RA will assist with check in and check out procedures for incoming and outgoing residents during each summer session.  They will be compensated with a room and board (meal plan) scholarship for the summer.  Applicants are required to have previous experience (at least one full semester) working as a resident assistant.  RA staff may work the desk for additional income, but also may work an outside position with consultation with supervisor.  End date is August 10th.     • Housing Assistant Position - 4 Positions start May 7th, 3 positions start on May 28th.  Each staff member works 28 hours at the front desk, 12 hours completing various conference related tasks (see job description for a summary).  Compensation is $215 per week worked, plus housing (no meal plan).  End date is August 10th.  Experience in a customer service related position is required.     • Desk Assistant Position - 8-12 positions - compensation is minimum wage.  Previous experience working at a front desk or hotel reception desk is preferred.  Job Description (Word version).
    • Mail Clerk Position: 1-2 positions -  Compensation is minimum wage.  Previous experience sorting mail is preferred, but not required.
