My name is Sara Valencich, and I’m the resident assistant for the Pathways floor! I’m excited to build and create an academic community where, as a group, we can work towards making college a great experience overall. I’ve worked as an Orientation Leader, and I spent two years working, first as the Vice President for Finance and last year as the President, for the Residence Hall Association, which is the student government for all the residents on campus. I have a lot of experience working with new students and programming, so I’m really excited to share this year with you!
My goals for the upcoming year are to build and foster a community involving academic success by putting on programs that are both educational and social, as well as study groups, complete with help writing papers of all kinds – any time, any place! As a group, I hope we can all be individually successful and we can help each other work for the same achievement! I also want to build a community where education is outside of the classroom, so we learn more about new things, like people, culture, and diversity. I want to build an open-minded community that is based on respect for others and ourselves so that we all make lasting connections with each other. Most of all, I’m looking forward to having an active, respectful, outgoing, and supportive floor where we can all work and have fun together! This is our chance to make college the best it can be.
I look forward to meeting you all and having a great time on Pathways!
