Find A Room

Hey, Group 2 students are you ready to Find A Room?

On Monday, March 10th at 3:00 p.m., Group 2 students will be able to login into the Housing & Residential Education webpage and assign themselves to a room.  Please view and print the instructions for how to assign yourself to a room.

**If you chose to live in a residential learning community, you may already be assigned.  If you do not wish to live in the residential learning community, you can move yourself to another space.**

The “priority basis” groups are listed below (each group will be highlighted when it is their turn to login):

Group             Receipt of Housing Contract     Find A Room Login Date/Time

Group 1          Dec. 1, 2013 - Dec 31, 2013      March 3 @ 3:00 pm - April 30

Group 2         Jan 1, 2014 - May 31, 2014      March 10 @ 3:00 pm - April 30

You may find that some of the halls you wish to live in have already been filled.  Waiting lists start when the residence halls open August 21st.  If you cannot assign yourself into one of your first or second choices, you can do a couple things:

  • We receive housing cancellations daily. As cancellations are received, the room is placed back out in circulation. So check back regularly on the Housing website to see if a spot has opened up in a hall that you want to live in for the 2014-2015 academic year.
  • You can move rooms as many times as you want until April 30th. If you are in a residential learning community (RLC) and you move yourself out of the space, you will not be able to move yourself back into it. All RLC assignments are done by the Housing & Residential Education office.
  • Wait until August when the residence halls open and speak with the hall director of the hall you wish to live in and ask to get on the waiting list. If someone is a "no show" when the halls open, the Hall Director will look to their waiting list to fill the space.

The Department of Housing & Residential Education will communicate with you through your UNC e-mail address so please check it often.  You are responsible for the information the University sends to this account. Check your UNC e-mail (Bear Mail) account regularly for updates.

Again, congratulations on your acceptance to the University of Northern Colorado and we look forward to seeing you at New Student Orientation this summer.  Please contact New Student Orientation at 970-351-4626 or visit http://www.unco.edu/orientation for information regarding orientation reservations.

If you have problems or questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office at housing@unco.edu or 970-351-2721.
