Our camp invites over 125 freshmen students to campus every year. Students apply for the Lead On Camp and the top students are invited to campus prior to the opening of the residence halls to participate in workshops on leadership & academic success activities and to have systematic exposure to the primary involvement opportunities on campus.

Our primary goals are to help you:

  • Learn leadership skills
  • Connect across campus
  • Inspire others
  • Grow as an individual
  • Explore new friendships
  • Move In Early

Lead On Camp 2013 participants time line:

  • May 17th: Lead On participant application available.
  • July 15th: Lead On application due
  • July 20th: Notification of Lead On applicant status will be sent via e-mail.
  • August 1st: $135 payment is due for Lead On camp.
  • August 17th: Lead On begins!
  • Lead On Camp: August 17th - 22nd.

 

Lead On Camp 2013 Facilitators Only time line:

  • May 24th: Facilitator applications available.
  • June 14th @ 4 PM - Facilitator applications due.
  • June 21st: Notification of facilitator status will be sent via e-mail
  • August 16th @ 8 AM - Facilitator training.
  • August 17th: Lead On begins!

How much does it cost to attend Lead On Camp?

Answer #1:
$135 per person.

What do I need to bring?

Answer #2:
You would bring all the items you would need to move into the residence halls. There is a helpful list on our website of items to consider bringing to campus: http://www.unco.edu/housing/prospective/what_to_bring.html.

Can you accommodate people with special dietary restrictions?

Answer #3:
Yes. The students who are invited to the Lead On Camp will have their meals provided during their stay. All meals will be held at the Holmes Dining Hall. The dining hall has a station called, "The Dash". This station caters to individuals who have dietary restrictions. For more information on The Dash, please see the Dining Services' webpage.
