At the start of every school year, UNC Housing and Residential Education puts on a leadership camp for incoming freshmen called Lead On. This is a one-week program that introduces these students to campus on a personal levels, gives them leadership training, and opens opportunities to get involved with the university. Ultimately, we want to provide a chance for students to make a smooth transition into this new time of their lives. This is not just beneficial for new students though; this camp is coordinated and led by returning students who want to step up and take on leadership roles in their communities. This is the time of year when we put out a call for those leaders on campus and open applications to be Lead On Coordinators and Facilitators this fall.

We need two students to plan the event throughout the summer and many more to lead the groups of freshmen during the camp. If these are opportunities you believe would be good for you, apply now! Past experience with Lead On is not required; we want anyone to feel free to participate. Applications for both positions are due April 2nd at 11:59 PM.
