Lead On Leadership Camp

August 17 - 20, 2008
Embrace your new experience, Lead On!
Learn
Over the course of the camp students will gain practical leadership skills that will help you succeed at UNC.
Grow
Students will engage in a variety of experiences that enhance interactions with others, explore leadership potential, and achieve personal, emotional, and cognitive confidence on campus.
Connect & Explore
Students will be introduced to various opportunities to get involved with campus organizations and departments.
Inspire
Most Lead On students tell us the camp was amazing! They had the advantage of meeting others, during a time of anxiety. The camp allowed them to adjust to their new environment and move forward with campus life.
Purpose
Our camp targets over 100 freshmen students, spread throughout campus. These students are invited to campus four days prior to the opening of the residence halls to participate in workshops on leadership & academic success (Sample Schedule), and to have systematic exposure to the primary involvement opportunities on campus. (Pictures of Summer 2007) Our primary goals are to help you:
- Expand leadership skills
- Make meaningful connections across campus
- Meet new friends
- Inspire others
- Get involved
