Debra Holman has been with the UNC Honors Program since September 2002. She came to UNC from the University of Nevada, Reno where she was Coordinator of Advising, Recruitment, and Retention in the College of Arts & Science. Deb has a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and an M.A. in English/Sociolinguistics from the University of Nevada, Reno. She also loves the natural sciences and can often be found helping her husband Greg, a biologist, with his research interests.

Carol Lucero has been with the UNC Honors Program since January 2000. She joined Honors after two and a half years on the Michener Library staff. Carol was the UNC Classified Employee of the Term in Spring 2003. Carol’s work with Honors has earned her the title of “Mom to the Honors Students.” She has four grown children, two happily married and gainfully employed, one just out of college and working in his chosen career, and one still in college.
