This year has been one of the most impressive in the history of the University Honors Program. What we did on campus was amazing, and you’ll read story after story of all our news in this edition. Regionally, we also were involved in a way we had never been before. As the host university for the Western Regional Honors Conference in March, we elevated the conference proceedings to a new standard of excellence. Great News!! The Honors Program space on the lower level of Michener is being remodeled and expanded this summer to house the newly formed Center for Honors, Scholars, and Leadership. You’ll find the full story on the planned renovation on the Honors, Scholars, and Leadership page in this edition. When the renovation is complete, we’ll have an elegant and functional office with plenty of space for staff in Honors, Life of the Mind, and the President’s Leadership Program and with ample seminar room and a lounge area for students to study in!

While this edition of the Honors Report is typically published in mid-spring, because we are publishing in August, we are including introductory statements and greetings from all of our incoming Student Honors Council officers for next year. Enjoy, too, the new section devoted to Alumni Reflections. One of our graduates has written a very inspiring article.
