Fall 2006 Honors Report

In this edition, you can peruse the Directors’ and Student Honors Council officer reports; check out the featured articles on a variety of recent events and activities under News of Recent Events and Honors Connections; and read about student, staff, and faculty accomplishments under Honorable Mentions. We also have a great Alumni Reflection from Elisa Chen, former Student Honors Council President, who is now in her second year of law school at Washington University in St. Louis.

Honors students were on hand to help the balloons take flight at the Greeley Hot Air Balloon Festival last fall. In the same way, everyone who has lent a hand with the renovation for the Center for Honors, Scholars and Leadership (HSL) got to see it take flight in early January 2007! The Honors Program has relocated back to the northwest corner of the garden level of Michener in the newly renovated HSL space. Joining us in the office suite is the Life of the Mind Program, President’s Leadership Program, Reisher Scholars Program, and Schulze Endowment.
