Sara Mielke

Sara Mielke graduated with a Master of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado where she studied Medieval European history. She graduated from Martin Luther College with a Bachelor of Science in secondary education with an emphasis in history. Within the field of Medieval European history, she researches the Arthurian legends and their role in the national identities of European nations, particularly the United Kingdom. Other areas of European history she finds interesting and has researched are the Reformation and Pre-Reformation. She teaches U.S. History 100 and 101 as well as Western Civilization at the University of Northern Colorado. She also teaches U.S. History and Western Civilization at Aims Community College.

While not engaged in academic activities and teaching, Sara Mielke enjoys gardening, camping, hiking/backpacking, fishing, four-wheeling/snowmobiling (anything outdoors), sports, and cooking.

  • HIST 101: American History from 1877 to the present
  • HIST 120: West Civilization from Ancient Greece to 1689
