Kate Imy

Kate is honored to be a graduate student and T.A. at the University of Northern Colorado. After a college career as a perennial transfer student, she earned a B.A. in History from Metropolitan State College of Denver. Upon graduation from UNC, she hopes to pursue a PhD at any willing and generous university. In her free time she enjoys volunteering at the Molly Brown House Museum. As a self-proclaimed history geek, she naturally takes advantage of her volunteer position to embrace past eras in full period costume. When not draped in Victorian finery, Kate spends time researching her Master’s thesis on British cultural and intellectual history. Although she has little time to do any traveling of her own, she lives vicariously through the past by investigating the travels of British intellectuals in the interwar era. While Kate relishes the opportunity to help students during the day, she can be seen gallivanting across the night’s sky as the most curious of caped crusaders—with three cats as fellow travelers.
