Barry Rothaus |
Barry Rothaus is Director of the School of History, Philosophy, and Political Science. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He specializes in Eighteenth-Century French History, the Enlightenment, and the history of the Holocaust.
He is co-editor of the Historical Dictionary of the French Revolution: 1789-1799 (Greenwood Press, 1985). Since 1995, he has edited Proceedings of the Western Society for French History.
Dr. Rothaus has been the recipient of the Holocaust Foundation grant for study at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem (1994); the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) award for collaborative research at the United States Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. (2001); and the University Faculty Achievement Award (1990-92). He is the 2002 recipient of the University of Northern Colorado’s Award for Excellence in Academic Leadership.
Dr. Rothaus also served as the faculty representative on the Board of Trustees for the University of Northern Colorado from Fall 2000 until Spring 2003.
