Program Details
Students will study Spanish Language and Mexican Culture at the Fenix Language Institute, located in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Students can receive credits in Spanish 101,102, 201, 202, 301, 303, 331, 411, 412, and 455. Nine and twelve week sessions are offered during the Fall and Spring Semesters, while six and nine week sessions are offered during the Summer. Class sizes are limited to five students to insure high amounts of personal contact between instructors and students while enhancing effective learning. Students will experience Mexican culture to the fullest as they observe daily life and eat authentic Mexican foods while living with host families. The Fenix Language Instutue will introduce students to the community through socialization activites involving playing sports, enjoying local music, and learning to salsa dance. Students will have the opportunity to experience exotic locations and Mexico’s rich history through planned excursions to Acapulco, Mexico City, and several signifcant archaeological sites.
Housing
Students are placed with Homestay Families.
