Educational Research Ethics
Guest speakers: Dr. Susan Hutchinson and Dr. Maria Lahman
Ethical decisions researchers make may be said to be the foundation of all rigorous research. If that is so, what guides your ethical choices? This talk will help attendees move beyond IRB requirements, a required starting place, to forming a personal ethical research stance. Establishing Your Educational Identity & Philosophy
Participants will examine their results from the Leahy Educational Philosophic Inventory to identify their personal educational philosophy (newcomers will take the inventory, as well), discuss the six educational theories, plus one other, and lay the foundation for crafting a verbal and written statement of one’s own educational philosophy.

Engaging Students through in-class activites

Kimberley uses in-class student activities in her Mass Communication class. In this workshop, she shares ideas and helps teachers to develop their own.
