Representation

The GSA President is responsible for representing graduate students in the Student Representative Council and to the campus community. The GSA President is a member of the Student Representative Council, and he/she is the director of the GSA budget.

The GSA College Representatives work with the GSA President to provide college-specific activities and contacts within each college.  These people are your direct link to the administration and student government.  An essential task of the College Representatives is to identify graduate students who can participate in campus committees.  These committees help shape the University and even determine the amount of funding the GSA receives in the student fee allocation process. The College Representatives are unpaid volunteers, but their efforts are recognized by the Dean of the Graduate School and the Student Representative Council.

Getting involved

The GSA is currently seeking graduate students who are interested in becoming involved. If you are interested in being a representative for your college, please bring or send a letter of interest and a current resume to the GSA office (located in Rm 2025 on the second floor of the University Center in Student Activities). There is not a huge time commitment required. We just want as many students involved as possible.
