Dr. Kyle Carter becomes Dean
Dr. Carter served as Dean of the Graduate School until 1998.
In 1991, Graduate tuition and fees in-state were $102 for one credit hour; Graduate tuition and fee out-of-state: $272 for one credit hour.”
Independent Graduate study is available by working directly with the instructor by mail and telephone. Telecourses include a series of television programs, accompanied by a textbook and study guide, and audio-conferences with the instructor.
Policies and Procedures Manual
The second edition of the Graduate School Policies and Procedures Manual is published in September.
Number of Students
UNC has more than 10,000 students attending during the fall and spring, with 4,000 graduates and undergraduates enrolled in the summer.
