I received a BA in business education with honors from then-Colorado State College in 1968 and an MA in Business (accounting emphasis) at UNC in 1974. I have many fond and happy memories from both sojourns on the Greeley campus. I want to pay homage to my undergraduate honors advisor and classroom professor, Dr. Roland C. Waterman, who also was one of my graduate professors. He was a dear friend whom, if he were still living, I know would be sitting at my dinner table. We had many discussions together inside and outside the classroom. As an undergraduate he taught me lessons of self confidence in my own ability as well as accounting theory. As a graduate student when I was more mature, he sought out my opinion on various matters, picking my brain so to speak. He was and remains my professorial role model for six years of my life.
