Set against the backdrop of a two-year battle over civil unions in Hawaii and the finality of Proposition 8 in California, Chasing Rainbows explores the explosive issue that is dividing our nation: the battle between the evangelical church and the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) movement in America. Filmmaker Greg Andermann, an average straight American guy, guides viewers through the first unbiased and in-depth look at the issues surrounding gay marriage and civil unions. Raw, humorous, and thought provoking, Chasing Rainbows humanizes the people engaged in the issue and serves as a revealing portrayal of why Americans think and feel the way they do about homosexuality and gay marriage.
