Arts Gala Benefits Performing and Visual Arts Students
For the third consecutive year, Colorado Health Medical Group has signed on as the premier sponsor of the 2013 UNC Arts Gala, granting $35,000 in scholarships to students in the College of Performing and Visual Arts.
The college’s annual benefit performance and art show features the work of more than 400 students.
The well-regarded gala generates more than 25 percent of the College of Performing and Visual Arts’ scholarship fund and gives the college an opportunity to present its outstanding artists, performers, musicians and technicians to the community.
More than 350 arts students benefit from scholarship support in a typical academic year.
“My scholarships make it possible for me to put more time into studying, practicing and finding ways to give back,” said Gerry Heise, music and business major. “I can’t say enough to thank the people who contribute to the Gala in support of student scholarships.”
