Fourth Annual Adamson Blood Drive a Success
The 4th Annual Adamson Blood drive was a success with 129 units of blood donated and UNC Nursing students volunteering at the event.
The blood donations were given to the North Colorado Medical Center Blood Donor Center and Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services.
In turn, the funeral home donated $10 for each unit of blood given—a total of $1,290—to the Adamson Nursing Scholarship for UNC students.
John Seitz, owner of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Service, and his family have a long-standing connection with UNC, with son Jonathan Seitz (BS-07) putting his degree from the Monfort College of Business to work as Business Manager of the funeral home.
The donations equated to more than $33,000 in savings to the hospital and to those who receive the blood.
“Your volunteers were an essential part of the blood drive. We are grateful for their hard work and cheerful attitudes. They helped us with every aspect of the drive.”
