UNC Softball‘s Kaitlin Flynn is one of the many scholarship student-athletes that is shining on and off the field. Kaitlin is a force in the infield. During the 2013 season she accumulated 61 putouts and 95 assists at shortstop. Off the field she has been recognized on the 2013 Big Sky All-Academic Team, and she strives to make a difference in the community. Kaitlin is a proud supporter of our United State Armed Forces by volunteering with the non-profit organization Quiltsof Valor. With other female community members, Kaitlin helps make quilts to heal and comfort soldiers who are returning from deployment.

“My scholarship has provided me the opportunity to continue to play the sport that I love, while pursuing a degree that I also have passion for, without my scholarship it would have been much more difficult for me to attend college due to the financial burden on my family. I feel honored that UNC has committed to women’s athletics and provided this opportunity to me.”
