On this weekend, I went to Hamburg, to visit Anne. She is a friend of my Uncle Walter and Susie and actually worked for Walter when she lived in America in the 1960's. She lives outside of Hamburg in a smaller city called Hammoor.

First view of Hamburg: The train station. Note the pigeons, and (across the other side) the Golden arches of McDeath.

The Four Seasons Hotel, one of the nicest hotels in Hamburg.

We then took a cruise down the river Alster, and I got a little camera happy, so there are a bunch of pictures of the river cruise. You'll see some beautiful houses, neat bridges, and be able to look back on the five towers of the major churches in Hamburg. I would definitely recommend taking the Alster river cruise. It was nice even though it rained a lot. Enjoy the pictures!

You can't tell from this picture, but it was an absolute downpour when we were here, so I took a quick picture (note the umbrella in the edges of the picture) and put my camera away. Hamburg has huge shipyards!

Pictures of the tunnel that go under the Elbe river. I found this quite interesting because you drive your car into an elevator, go way down underneath the level of the river, drive underneath the river, and take an elevator up the other side.
