Dates & Times
Both field courses require pre-trip class meetings on the UNC campus: Saturday August 3rd,  Sunday, August 4th, and Monday August 5th, 2013, 9:30am to 1:30pm each day. The field courses then take place on Thursday-Saturday. There are no meetings in between the UNC class meetings and the field course.

Field Trip 1 Colorado River Canoe Trip:
Thursday, August 8th to Saturday August 10th, 2013. Locations: The lecture will be held at the UNC campus in Candelaria. The field trip will begin and end near Grand Junction, Colorado.

Field Trip 2 Gunnison River Canoe Trip:
Thursday, August 15th to Saturday August 17th, 2013. Locations: The lecture will be held at the UNC campus in Candelaria. The field trip will begin and end near Grand Junction, Colorado.

Outfitter and Tuition Fees:
The outfitter charges $325 (Colorado trip fee includes a shuttle from Utah to Colorado). The University charges $750 for 3 credits of tuition. See the timeline for details on when fees are due. Enrollment is done on a first come, first serve basis for remaining space. Tuition charges are the same for in-state and out-of-state students!
3 semester credit hours of Geography 392 (important note: this course is registered in the Fall, 2013 semester. It is eligible for financial aid)

How to Register:
PICK EITHER FIELD COURSE 1 or FIELD COURSE 2. Complete the Registration Form and return the form to Dr. Dunn at Campus Box 115, Greeley, CO 80639

Dropping the class: You can drop the class up until August 1. It is your responsibility to contact the Office of Extended Studies at 1-800-232-1749 to formally withdraw from the class. The outfitter has its own separate cancellation policy.
