Dr. Diggs is Professor of Geography and coordinator of the Laboratory for Geographic Information Science at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC).  He has a B.A. in Geography from the University of Missouri; a M.A. in Geography from UNC; and a PHD in Geography from the University of Colorado-Boulder.  Dr. Diggs has expertise in cartographic design and production, internet mapping applications, and spatial modeling.  Dr. Diggs has worked on projects that integrate GIS and Archeology in Rocky Mountain National Park and the North Park region of Colorado.  He has developed internet based mapping applications for educators.  In addition, Dr. Diggs has worked on dozens of projects with the Weld County Colorado Public Works Department, City of Greeley, Colorado Water Resources Division, Greeley Public Works GIS Division, and the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District. In order to escape his computer-centric life, Dr. Diggs makes an annual pilgrimage to somewhere in the British Isles for a long-distance walk!
