The Colorado Commission on Higher Education (CCHE) Web site contains

• a description of Colorado’s Guaranteed Transfer Program and
• descriptions of the content criteria and competency criteria that must be met by courses if they are to be included in the program
• nomination forms are currently being rewritten; new forms should be available soon.

A Note for All Those Preparing Nominations

To all Chairs, Program Directors, and Faculty
Involved in Preparing Nominations
for Guaranteed Transfer Courses—

The next on-campus deadline for nominations will be sometime in Spring 2008 at the earliest. As indicated above, the new nomination forms should be available soon.

Presumably the materials that will need to be submitted—both in electronic format—will be:

• The official nomination form
• The course syllabus (NOTE: if the syllabus typically distributed to students in class doesn’t contain enough information about the course to make it plain that all the claims made on the nomination form are true, the syllabus will need to be amplified to provide such information)

Links to sample packets of accepted course nomination materials for a variety of content areas are available below. Note, however, that these are packets submitted in Spring, 2002, and that the nomination forms to be used this year will be somewhat different. Sample packets using the new forms will be posted as soon as they are available.

The Liberal Arts Council has considerable experience in nominating courses and some of its members have served on the statewide review teams. The LAC has compiled a checklist of items to assemble for the nomination process and is willing to review nomination forms for compliance with state requirements.
