Open to all prospective undergraduate students, Preview Days are a special, whole-day event designed to bring you face-to-face with UNC students, faculty and administrators. At Preview Day you can go on a campus tour, visit residence halls, attend presentations by professors, admissions and financial aid counselors, try lunch in a residence hall, sit in an actual class, and ask all your questions at student panel meetings.

Open to all prospective undergraduate students, Fridays@UNC are specifically designed to showcase each of our five primary undergraduate colleges: the Monfort College of Business, the College of Education & Behavioral Sciences, the College of Humanities & Social Sciences, the College of Natural & Health Sciences, and the College of Performing & Visual Arts. During each of these events, you can go on a campus tour, hear from admissions, housing and financial aid counselors, try lunch in a dining hall, and attend a college showcase. Each of the showcases will include meeting faculty from all of the various majors represented by each specific college, as well as a tour of their facilities. Designed specifically with transfer students in mind, Transfer Preview Days are three-hour sessions that allow visitors to get the information they need while getting a feel for campus. Admissions and Academic Support & Advising will give presentations and a panel of offices on campus will be available to answer questions. Also, students will have the opportunity to take a campus tour and eat in the dining halls.

Junior Days allow students to learn more about UNC in an all-day, interactive format including informational sessions on the admissions process, financing a college education, living on campus, and support services available for students. Students can choose from sessions regarding UNC organizations, honors & leadership programs, intramurals & club sports, and Greek life. Campus tours are also included in the day’s activities as well as opportunities to learn more from UNC’s faculty about academic majors and career options.

Individual Campus Visits

UNC offers personalized visits to prospective students and their guests that can include a tour of our beautiful campus, an admissions appointment, an appointment with a faculty member, a financial aid presentation and a visit to one or more residence halls*.

Reservations are highly recommended, and any faculty appointment requests must be received at least 2 weeks in advance.

Campus tours are offered every Monday through Friday at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., Noon, 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. throughout the school year. During school breaks, some tours times may not be available.

Saturday visits will be held on select Saturdays in October and November and from February through April. These visits will offer an admissions presentation at 10:00 a.m. followed by a campus tour at 10:30 a.m. Stay for the brunch provided after the tour - you'll be impressed by the food created by our award winning chefs.

Any other requested appointments will be scheduled around your requested tour time.

*Residence halls may not be available during move in days, finals week and holidays. Call (970) 351-2097 for scheduling questions.

Special Group/School Visits

UNC offers specialized visits to groups of 10 or more that can include a campus tour, an admissions presentation, lunch in a dining hall, and more! Reservations for group visits are required and requests must be received at least 2 weeks in advance.

  • While we are flexible with your schedule and special needs, generally group visit schedules follow the following schedule:
  • 10 a.m.: Admissions Presentation
  • 10:30 a.m.: Campus Tour
  • 12:00 p.m.: Lunch at one of our three dining halls

We offer discounted lunch vouchers for only $5 per student.

Residence Hall Tours

Do you want to see what residence life is like at UNC? If so, we’d love to show you some of our residence halls! Our Residence Hall Tours are guided by current students and visit a sampling of our residence halls.* Residence Hall Tours are available at 2:30 p.m. each Monday through Friday throughout the school year, excluding holidays and school breaks, and advance notice is required. To set up your residence hall tour, please contact the Visitors Center at 888-700-4862 or visitors.center@unco.edu.

If you would like to see a specific hall or cannot make it at 2:30 p.m., please contact the Office of Housing and Residence Life at (970) 351-2721 to discuss any available viewing options.

*Unfortunately specific hall requests may not be available.

Graduate Student Campus Visits

UNC offers personalized visits for prospective graduate students that can include an admissions appointment, an appointment with a faculty advisor, a campus tour specially geared for a graduate student, and appointments with the Financial Aid and Housing offices. When should I come?

The best time to visit campus is on a weekday when classes are in session and students and faculty are involved in regular campus activities. Campus tours are generally available every Monday through Friday, five times a day during the school year and three times a day during breaks. You can check the UNC online academic calendar for the upcoming semester dates.

Driving Directions to the UNC Visitors Center

From the SOUTH or WEST (Denver-Area, Colorado Springs, Grand Junction, etc.)

Via I-25 (recommended for North, South, & West Denver, Colorado Springs, and Western CO):

Take Interstate 25 North to the Loveland/Greeley exit (257-A) which is HWY 34. Continue on HWY 34 East for about 16 miles (Do not take exit for the 34 Business Loop). Once in Greeley, turn left onto 11th Ave. Go north on 11th Ave for about 1 mile and turn right on 19th St. Take 19th St. just one block to 10th Ave and go straight across 10th Ave. into our parking lot (19th St. ends at 10th Ave.). The Visitors Center is a Tudor-style brick house on the corner with a blue UNC sign out front.

Via HWY 85 (recommended for East of Denver or South of Denver to avoid city congestion):

Take HWY 85 North (from either I-76 East or the E-470 tollroad) towards Greeley. Once you reach Greeley, stay left on HWY 85 Business Loop which turns into 8th Ave. Follow 8th Ave. for a few blocks and turn left on 20th St. Take 20th St west for 2 blocks and turn right onto 10th Ave. You will go one block and our parking lot is the first on the right. The Visitors Center is a Tudor-style brick house on the corner with a blue UNC sign out front.

From Denver Int’l Airport: (this will take you on a toll road)

Take Pena Boulevard west from the airport to the E-470 Tollway North exit (exit 6B). Take E-470 for 9.5 miles to the HWY 85 North exit (exit 38). Take HWY 85 North for about 35 miles into Greeley. Once you reach Greeley, stay left on HWY 85 Business Loop which turns into 8th Ave. Follow 8th Ave. for a few blocks and turn left on 20th St. Take 20th St west for 2 blocks and turn right onto 10th Ave. You will go one block and our parking lot is the first on the right. The Visitors Center is a Tudor-style brick house on the corner with a blue UNC sign out front.

From the NORTH (Fort Collins, Cheyenne, etc.)

Take Interstate 25 South to the Loveland/Greeley exit (257-A) which is HWY 34. Continue on HWY 34 East for about 16 miles (Do not take exit for the 34 Business Loop). Once in Greeley, turn left onto 11th Ave. Go north on 11th Ave for about 1 mile and turn right on 19th St. Take 19th St. just one block to 10th Ave and go straight across 10th Ave. into our parking lot (19th St. ends at 10th Ave.). The Visitors Center is a Tudor-style brick house on the corner with a blue UNC sign out front.

From the EAST (Fort Morgan, Omaha, Chicago, etc.)

Take Interstate 76 West to the Greeley exit (66B) which is HWY 34. Continue on HWY 34 West for about 36 miles towards Greeley. Once in Greeley, take the US-85 Business exit toward Greeley which turns into 8th Ave. Follow 8th Ave. for a few blocks and turn left on 20th St. Take 20th St west for 2 blocks and turn right onto 10th Ave. You will go one block and our parking lot is the first on the right. The Visitors Center is a Tudor-style brick house on the corner with a blue UNC sign out front.
