Campus Life

It’s easier to succeed when it’s easier to connect.

That’s why we make it simple for you to connect with the people and resources that can help you thrive. The UNC campus has a unique energy, thanks to the friendly, interesting and diverse people who live, work and go to school here. When you’re ready for a break from studying, UNC is ready for you. Get the student perspective with our Video Views and posts by our Student Videographers!

  • Our 16 unique residence halls provide the perfect “home away from home” for every student. We offer more single rooms and suites than any other Colorado campus and with theme floors and learning communities, you’ll have fun and make lifelong friends.
  • UNC Dining Services employs four award-winning chefs that plan and prepare a variety of delicious meals and snacks every day. With dining halls, food courts, coffee shops and Gourmet-to-Go, you can satisfy your cravings any time night or day.
  • Our amazing Campus Recreation Center offers three multi-purpose gyms, climbing wall, racquetball courts, pool, indoor track, fitness classes, wellness education, cardio equipment and special events.
  • We have enough intercollegiate, club and intramural sports to keep you busy, as a spectator and an athlete.
  • Connect with other students and volunteer in the community as a member of a Greek fraternity or sorority, student representative council or one of more than 150 academic, cultural, religious, professional and special interest clubs and organizations.
  • On-campus concerts by the popular bands like the Flobots and Maroon 5, film series, theatre performances, art gallery showings, impromptu jam sessions, performances by comedians, speakers like Maya Angelou and campus competitions, including UNC Idol.
  • Connect with our diverse student population at cultural celebrations hosted by the Cesar Chavez Cultural Center, Marcus Garvey Cultural Center, Asian/Pacific American Student Services, and Native American Student Services
  • Plenty of outdoor space on campus to relax, throw a Frisbee or ride a bike. Plus, Greeley is less than two hours from hiking, camping, snowboarding and skiing in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
  • University Center with a Starbucks, James hair salon (Aveda), Barnes & Noble, Subway, Einstein Bros. bagels and more.
  • Our students love the excitement of Division I sports—both as competitors and as spectators. With nine NCAA Men’s sports and 10 Women’s sports, there’s always something to cheer about.

A variety of restaurants, from Chipotle to Olive Garden, shopping, movie theaters, concert venues and coffee shops just minutes from campus. Cactus Canyon, Pitchers and the Penalty Box are some of our students’ favorite places to dance, play pool and listen to live music.
