Welcome to Financial Services
Financial Services encompasses five different units which support students and departments through providing leadership in finance, budget, and accounting services. The Financial Services team is dedicated to providing exemplary service to the campus through collaboration, partnership and teamwork.
The Budget Office provides financial consulting and analysis for key decision makers in the university and support for all long term financial planning and budgeting at UNC. In addition, the Budget Office manages required financial reporting to private, state, and federal entities.
The Bursar's Office provides you with information regarding your student account, including how to view, understand and pay your bill. Other information includes cashiering, COF, collections, cost of tuition, Perkins loans, student direct deposit, student fee waiver and 1098T.
The General Accounting office monitors all University accounts to ensure compliance with University and state reporting requirements. General Accounting verifies and processes journal entries and EIOs, manages University property and inventory, monitors grants, federal loans and scholarships, and provides required reports to private state and federal entities.
The Accounts Payable department is responsible for processing payment requests for approved goods, services and travel expenses incurred on behalf of the University.
The Purchasing & Contracts Department is responsible for general procurement and strategic sourcing, contract management, UNC Visa cards, accounts payable, real estate and leasing, the UNC Card Office, student health insurance, student immunizations, and the Student Business Services Office.
