Joseph Brady

Joseph Brady received an M.A. in English and Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. Brady is a past winner of the Lee Korf Award, and his play Trapdoor was produced in Los Angeles as part of an original series. His works have also been read at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. He has been teaching in the English Department at UNC since 1996, and he has taught Screenwriting at UNC since the course was first offered. Brady believes that a good story is the key element of a successful film, so his classes will always emphasize the importance of plot, character, structure, and conflict. As screenwriters, his students will develop an original concept from a story idea to a completed script.      NOTE: Joseph Brady only teaches during the fall semesters and may not respond to email or phone calls during other times of the year.
