You might not know that I
travel the countryside on my Harley whenever I can.
When I let my hair down, I can be found
on my motorcycle.
My welcome-to-teaching moment that I’ll never forget was
everyone had given me the notebook from the person who taught the class before me and so I started the class trying to teach it like somebody else. I got about two to three weeks into it and realized that that was that person and I needed to teach what I thought was important.
I chose UNC because
of the great people I would work with.
Confucius would say my teaching philosophy is
that I try to bring out the knowledge imbedded in each person.
If I’m not teaching a class, or in my office, you can find me on campus at
the U.C.
I cannot live without
my computer.
If I hadn’t become a teacher, I would be a
Yearbook quote (advice you like to give to students or best advice you’ve received)
“To be open to the possibilities that life presents to you.”
