Types of Services

Requesting Services

Requests for most services can be made by phoning, e-mailing, or writing to the Service Center at: Parsons Hall, Campus Box 57, 501 20th Street, Greeley, CO. 80639. Telephone 351-2446. Work requests may also be submitted directly to the work order system by users with mainframe access to the XDB system.

Please have the following information available when submitting a work request:

Description of work to be done
Location of work
Contact name and phone
Special information, e.g. completion date required, estimate, etc.

Departmental Services - Billable

Services provided to departments of the University at their request, and funded by the requesting department. These are services for which Facilities Management has the expertise and/or responsibility to provide, but for which Facilities Management receives no budget allocation. The departments requesting these services will be billed by Facilities Management.

Examples of departmental services include:

  • Modifications, renovations, or alterations to departmental space.
  • Additions to the present electrical system, HVAC changes, special lighting or power needs or other utility system modifications.
  • Painting of offices or departmental space at the customers request. Under certain conditions, paint and painting supplies may be provided for customer use. Contact the Service Center for information.
  • Installation of bulletin boards, shelving and mailboxes in departmental space
  • Charges associated with special events which charge an admission fee.
  • Lock changes and re-keying.
  • Repair and maintenance of equipment inventoried to requesting department.
  • Repair of blinds, shades, drapes and other window treatment in departmental space.
  • Installation or replacement of carpet in departmental space.

Please keep in mind that new equipment often requires modification to electrical and other utility systems. We will be happy to assist you in defining these issues and the associated cost impacts.

Requests for departmental services are initiated through the use of a Service Request form. Service Request forms for departmental services require an authorized signature and account number. It is important that as much information as available be included on the form, i.e. funding, request for estimates, description of the work to be performed, any schedule that must be met, etc. before it is sent to the Service Center at Parsons Hall. When only estimates are being requested it is not necessary to supply an account number and/or authorized signature.

Billing

When requests for Department services are completed, actual costs of labor and material will be progressively charged to the account identified on the approved request or project authorization. Please call us if you have any questions about your billing statement.
