Professional Development Courses and Conferences

Professional Development

The Office of Extended Studies offers credit and non-credit education courses for teachers, educators and others. They include workshops, site-based classes, institutes and online courses. A listing of our featured courses is included below. For more information, e-mail us at esinfo@unco.edu.

Many classes and workshops have limited enrollments. Registrations may be accepted up until the start date, but if you delay your registration you may find that your class has already been filled to capacity. REGISTER EARLY to guarantee your seat in the classes you've chosen and to ensure the instructor will have sufficient class materials.

The internet now provides adult learners with the opportunity to "attend" classes without leaving the comfort of their living rooms or offices! To participate in an online course, you'll need a computer with internet access, an email address, either a Microsoft Explorer or Netscape Navigator web browser and, if the course requires, specific program software. Online classes allow you to study whenever it's convenient to your schedule: day or night, weekdays or weekends, at home or at work, dressed in your business suit or robe and slippers! You may have lessons delivered via your email. Class assignments, quizzes, progress reports, and interaction with your instructor and fellow students are accomplished through your computer and web browser. An on-line orientation program walks you through the whole process.
