These are the camps and conferences that UNC offers this year that relate to music, including performance and teaching.
Dates: June 1, 2018 through June 11, 2018
The Colorado Chamber Orchestra Academy at UNC (COCOA) is a summer program for outstanding high school and college string students. The unique conductor-less format provides young artists the opportunity to rehearse and perform alongside professional performing artists in a stimulating and inspiring environment.
Dates: July 7, 2018 through July 8, 2018
During this two day band leadership, PA Professor Heidi Sarver joins the team to add further practical applications of the lessons learned over this intense 2 day program. Sessions alternate between working with the students inside to introduce new concepts and perspectives. These are immediately put to practice outside as Professor Sarver utilizes excerpts from proven Drum Major Academy curriculum exercises.
Dates: July 15, 2018 through July 20, 2018
Designed to be intensive, challenging, and inspiring, the UNC Jazz Camp is led by faculty from the University of Northern Colorado and special guests Don Aliquo, Clay Jenkins, and Paul McKee. This is the chance for middle school through college-aged students to be a part of student big bands, combos, vocal jazz ensembles, jazz master classes, jazz theory and listening classes, student jam sessions, nightly faculty group concerts, and a special performance by the Colorado Jazz Orchestra. Previous band or choir experience required.

CIPA Participants will be eligible to enroll in the Colorado Piano Festival. Winners of CIPA Competition will be eligible to compete in CPF's Competition and to perform in CPF's Master Classes.
