The Colorado Chamber Orchestra Academy at UNC (COCOA) is a summer program for outstanding high school and college string students. The unique conductor-­less format provides young artists the opportunity to rehearse and perform alongside professional performing artists in a stimulating and inspiring environment.

Kamie Ethridge Women's Basketball - Individual Camp

Dates: June 3, 2018 through June 5, 2018

Campers 9-17 will receive instruction on individual skill development and team concepts from the UNC coaching staff, players, and former players. They will compete in drills, games, and contest while fine tuning their fundamental skills.

Space Between Society

Dates: June 6, 2018 through June 10, 2018

The Space Between is a society for the study of literature and culture of the period between the First and Second World Wars. It provides an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary forum for discussion and research of texts, authors and new approaches to traditionally canonical works. It also encourages fresh examinations of art, society and culture illuminating the interwar and wartime periods.

This conference will allow higher education flipped classroom practitioners to exchange information, highlight faculty engaged in assessment of flipped classrooms, and discuss the future of flipped learning in higher education including the professional development with those interested in flipped learning.

Frontiers of Science Institute

Dates: June 17, 2018 through July 28, 2018

Six-week residential immersion program for high school juniors and seniors who have a strong interest in STEM subjects. FSI's primary goal is to provide students with authentic, engaging experiences to stimulate their knowledge, skills, and interest in STEM subjects. Additionally, FSI students are challenged to build their self-confidence and ability and to initiate their future academic and professional planning. Students benefit from experiences where they step outside their comfort zones, realize important societal roles they can fill, and pursue their most ambitious goals.

ASLIS: ASLEI BA Program

Dates: June 23, 2018 through July 21, 2018

The ASL-English Interpretation program at UNC is founded on the principles of bilingual/bicultural interpreter education. Essential components of the program include native/near-native competencies in both American Sign Language (receptive and expressive) and English (written and spoken). UNC's ASL-English Interpretation program will prepare you to interpret in community or educational settings that require you to be able to quickly and accurately integrate visual and auditory information providing linguistic and cultural equivalency appropriate to both languages (ASL and English).

ArtSource Colorado Summer Institute is a week-long program where participants receive standards-based instruction, leadership training, and valuable art making time and resources. Nationally and internationally recognized artists, speakers, and educators are a featured part of this exciting program. Follow-up instruction and advanced training and development continues throughout the school year.

Snow Valley Boy's Basketball Camp

Dates: June 24, 2018 through June 27, 2018

The Snow Valley Basketball School is recognized as one of the nation’s top schools for improving individual basketball skills and is now heading into its fourth year in Colorado. During the session, players will participate in a minimum of nineteen clinics designed to make you a better individual player. A Personal Player Profile Report Card will be kept on each camper throughout the week and presented on the last day. This Report Card will note particular strengths and weaknesses and offer personalized suggestions for continued improvements. Daily game competition against campers of the same age and ability level is included. We design our program to have a ratio of eight players to each coach and we promise an excellent series of total basketball immersion!

Troy Nickerson's 5 Day Intensive Wrestling Camp

Dates: June 25, 2018 through June 29, 2018

The 5 day intensive camp is designed for experienced wrestlers ages 12-18 who are looking to gain valuable skills and techniques through both skill and live wrestling situations. The overall goal of the camp is to improve one’s technical and tactical skills by enhancing base line skill and tactics that are proven to work against the highest levels of competition. Physical and psychological conditions is also a part of our intensive camp as we will test our athletes on all levels. Campers will participate in plenty of live wrestling throughout camp as well. The overall development of our intensive camp system is to learn how to train like the best. When you can train like a champion, you can be a champion!

Troy Nickerson's 4 Day Wrestling Team Camp

Dates: June 25, 2018 through June 28, 2018

Our newly formed team camp was designed due to the high demand of high school coaches in the surrounding areas. This 4-day camp has been designed to team high school wrestlers the skills and techniques needed to win at the highest levels through competition and technical training sessions. The overall goal of this camp is to help teams get a jump start on next season. The camp will be team oriented focusing on competition and the skills needed in order to prepare for competition. Campers will partake in dual meet style competition and group technique sessions. Each team will wrestle in a minimum of 3 dual meets per day. The last day of camp will also feature a camp all-star dual meet comprised of individuals from each team at camp. Team champions will also be named at camp with prizes going to the winning teams and the winners of the all-star dual meet.

Colorado Masonic Band Camp

The Colorado Masonic High School Band Camp is open to all interested high school band students in 9th, 10th or 11th grades statewide with who play at least one marching band instrument.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Dates: July 5, 2018 through July 8, 2018

This is a Christian sports camp for athletes who want to develop their athletic skills and grow in their faith. Excellent instruction, skill development, and intense competition prepare the athlete for future competition. Huddle time and the evening session prepare the student to handle life's challenges from a Christian stand point. College athletes and passionate coaches lead campers for four days, three nights in Greeley, CO on the beautiful campus of University of Northern Colorado. Enjoy Division 1 athletic facilities, nice dorms, and wonderful food during camp. Camp designed for students entering grades 7th-12th in the fall of 2018. Band Leadership Training Workshop

Dates: July 7, 2018 through July 8, 2018

During this two day band leadership, PA Professor Heidi Sarver joins the team to add further practical applications of the lessons learned over this intense 2 day program. Sessions alternate between working with the students inside to introduce new concepts and perspectives. These are immediately put to practice outside as Professor Sarver utilizes excerpts from proven Drum Major Academy curriculum exercises.

Summer Enrichment Program

Dates: July 8, 2018 through July 21, 2018

2018 marks the 41st year of the Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) serving children and youth who are gifted, talented, and/or creative in a supportive academic and social setting. Designed for students entering 5th grade through 10th grade, this residential program offers high interest, hands-on, brains-on courses developed by specialists in gifted education and/or in specialized content areas. On the day they arrive, students select courses for their two week session. Courses meet daily during four 75 minute periods. After classes are done for the day participants choose a variety of "options" varying from active sports and recreation, craft activities and time to visit with new and old friends. Students come to SEP from around 25 states, provinces and foreign countries. Dorm counselors who are college age and older supervise students during all hours that the students are not in class.

Four day volleyball development camp with 21 instructional hours. Designed to improve individual skills level and will end with game play and a camp tournament. All camps are open to boys and girls in grades 3-12.

Troy Nickerson's 5 Day Wrestling Technique Camp

Our 5 day technique camp is designed for individuals ages 8-18 who seek advanced techniques and skills that help each wrestler reach their individual potential. Troy Nickerson’s UNC Wrestling Camp system is designed to work equally well for both highly accomplished and beginner wrestlers. All skills taught are proven to work against all levels of competition.

CIPA Participants will be eligible to enroll in the Colorado Piano Festival. Winners of CIPA Competition will be eligible to compete in CPF's Competition and to perform in CPF's Master Classes.

UNC Jazz Camp

Dates: July 15, 2018 through July 20, 2018

Designed to be intensive, challenging, and inspiring, the UNC Jazz Camp is led by faculty from the University of Northern Colorado and special guests Don Aliquo, Clay Jenkins, and Paul McKee. This is the chance for middle school through college-aged students to be a part of student big bands, combos, vocal jazz ensembles, jazz master classes, jazz theory and listening classes, student jam sessions, nightly faculty group concerts, and a special performance by the Colorado Jazz Orchestra. Previous band or choir experience required.
