Student Services

The Writing Center will honor these Rights and Responsibilities of Student Clients:

Students have the right to receive respectful confidential help with their writing.

Students have the right to specify which issues they would like to work on during a session.

Students have the right to request a particular tutor if he or she is available.

Students understand that if they miss 3 appointments with out notifying the Center, they will lose their writing privileges the rest of the semester.

Students schedule a total of 90 minutes per week.

Students understand that the Writing Center serves to help students improve their writing, not to improve the grade on a specific paper, nor do the Writing Center tutors serve merely as proofreaders.

Making Appointments

Call the Writing Center during office hours: 351-2056 and provide this information

the sort of assistance you need
name of a preferred tutor
a preferred time and an alternate time for an appointment

Canceling an appointment: Make sure to cancel your appointment if you cannot keep your appointment. Students who miss 3 appointments and fail to cancel them will not be able to use the Writing Center for the remainder of the semester.
