Professional/Academic Experience

Dr. Clemen’s research interests include school counseling, child/adolescent mental health/continuity of care, and improving educational outcomes of at-risk populations, including students in foster care. She has held counseling and administrative posts in a school and a behavioral health center. Her Ph.D. is in counseling and counselor education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with a cognate in statistics. She is currently PI on an IES Researcher-Practitioner Partnership grant with the state of Colorado examining the association between school stability and academic outcomes for students in foster care.

She will develop and deliver the courses EII 712: Researcher-Practitioner Partnerships and EII 711: Data Visualization.
