Graduate Student Association (GSA) grants:

Next Deadline: Friday February 22nd, 2013

The Graduate Student Association (GSA) awards grants to eligible students to assist with expenses related to conducting and presenting research. In order to be eligible, students must be currently enrolled in a Graduate program at the University of Northern Colorado, and must have either completed 18 or more total Graduate credit hours at UNC, or be enrolled full time (9 credits).

GSA grants are awared for the following:

  • Research
  • Conference Presentation of Research
  • Conference Attendance

Please note: GSA grants are competitive. The following will result in automatic rejection of your application:

  • Incomplete, inaccurate, and/or improperly formatted applications. Please read instructions carefully, referring to the GSA grant handbook for additional guidelines and examples of acceptable and unacceptable documents. Make sure your application is complete with all required information and documentation prior to submission.
  • Handwritten applications (everything should be typed except for signatures)
  • Early or Late applications. Only applications for the current session will be accepted.

Ed Psych Society conference presentation grants:

Next Deadline: Friday March 1st, 2013

As of Spring 2012, additional funds have been made available to the Ed Psych Society intended to help support psychology graduate student research and professional development. At this time, these funds are dispersed as conference presentation grants available to psychology graduate students presenting at conferences. Awards may be made up to but not exceeding $500.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for an EPS conference presentation grant, students must be currently enrolled in a UNC graduate psychology program (e.g., Masters, Masters en route, or Doctoral program), and must be presenting research at a conference. Additionally, you must show proof of application for GSA grant funding.

Please note: Ed Psych Society membership is not required apply for conference funds. However, active members will be given priority consideration. Priority consideration will also be given to those travelling out-of-state.

Application Deadlines

If your conference takes place February 16 - August 15, 2013 applications are DUE FRIDAY, MARCH 1ST, 2013 to Dr. Michael Phillips' mailbox in McKee 0014.
