ASL Language Skill Pre-requisites
The ASLEI program begins at ASL V. Therefore the pre-requisite of ASL 1-4 is required prior to applying for the program.

Personal Computer Knowledge
There are a few computer skills that are required for success in online courses. If you are unfamiliar
with how to do any of the tasks below, we recommend that you find someone who can provide you
with assistance. You should be able to:
- Use a word processor to create documents with headings, bullets, and tables
- Use "save as" to save these word processor documents in different formats
(for example, .rtf format)
- View PowerPoint presentations
- Use email, including attaching and downloading files
- Find information on the internet using an internet search engine
- Download and install software on your computer
- Read, save, and print Adobe PDF documents
Technology Requirements
Since the ASLEI bachelor's program is delivered primarily online, in order to successfully complete the program you need to have the following:

- Microsoft Office Suite (2007 or higher)
- Internet access with highest speed possible
- Access to DVD player (on computer and/or stand alone)
- Headphones and microphone (if your laptop is not already equipped with this)
- Webcam, Flip, or other brand of digital camcorder
