American Sign Language
Now being offered online, UNC Greeley or at UNC Denver Center-Lowry
ASL coursework is offered on the UNC home campus in Greeley, at the Denver Center-Lowry, and online. Denver Center and online coursework is offered through UNC Extended Campus. Students not seeking a UNC degree, certificate or licensure can register for these courses on a space-available basis.
A note about Online coursework
The UNC DO IT Center online ASL courses are structured academic courses and not independent studies. ASL coursework that is offered online uses the learning management system, Blackboard. These courses are designed to be interactive with your instructional facilitator and peers. As such there are specific postings, assignments, and deadlines that will need to be met. A study guide will be provided that will guide you through the lessons. Students are expected to have a current computer, applicable software (e.g., MAC users will need Microsoft Word), internet technology, and a current web-camera.
