B.A. Political Science, University of Florida (2005)
UNC has long been known to offer opportunities that translate classroom experiences into careers and community change. Graduate education alumna Lindsey Lebowitz is one of those career stories and her experience at UNC opened the opportunity for her to help fellow Bears do the same.
Born in Greeley to a UNC alumnus, but raised in Florida, Lindsey returned to Greeley to pursue her master’s in higher education leadership. While a graduate student, Lindsey completed a development office internship that launched her career in fundraising. Now, with nearly 10 years of professional development experience, Lindsey serves as a Director of Development working with donors across the state, in STEM fields and in California. She enjoys the opportunity to work with UNC’s donors because their careers, research, clinical innovations, and philanthropy are shaping our community and campus. And because Lindsey believes that education has the power to change lives and society, she is proud to partner with the donors who believe that UNC is the perfect place where that change can first take shape.
My dad received his master’s and Pys.D. from UNC. I was born in Greeley and like to say that I am a Colorado native even though we moved when I was two and I did not grow up here. Coming to UNC as a graduate student and now as a staff member feels like coming home. I’m enjoying connecting other donors to UNC in a way that is most meaningful to them.
