As the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at the University of Northern Colorado, Chris is responsible for expanding alumni engagement through volunteer management, career development programming, scholarship selection, affinity group building, and cross-campus collaboration. Chris has nearly 10 years of experience working in higher education and is passionate about supporting students and graduates in achieving their academic and career goals.
While Chris’s role connects him with alumni from various professional backgrounds, a stand out moment for him was traveling throughout Colorado to collect the stories of UNC alumni career advisors. Used in student promotional materials and published in UNC Magazine, stories like those collected by Chris share the reasons alumni give back in support of student success.
Whether education or environmental sustainability, Chris believes that alumni from any background can open doors of opportunity for current students when they sign up to be an alumni career advisor. Volunteering is one of the easiest ways to get involved and make a difference. Chris models involvement in his own community connections as a Team UNC donor, volunteer with the Community Foundation Serving Greeley & Weld County and The Colorado Nature Conservancy, and as an advocacy participant in industry associations.
When you arrive at UNC, you feel the care and compassion that each of us puts into the work we do, and you know that we love this place and these people. Reach out to me with questions, if I don’t know the answer, I’ll help you find someone who does.
