What can we say; she’s a wiz with reports and all things data. Director of Advancement Services Dee Demling directs UNC’s advancement services team, providing strategic leadership and long and short term planning in support of UNC’s development and alumni relations initiatives. Dee and her team manage UNC’s alumni and donor constituent records, gift administration, gift acknowledgments, database integrity, data analysis and reporting and systems enhancement. Dee also represents the division in campus information technology planning, and advises UNC on the use of software and data management systems for development and alumni relations.
Dee joined the team in 2015, bringing with her more than 20 years of experience in database administration for nonprofits, fifteen of those years in a higher education setting. She’s a strong proponent of UNC’s mission and vision, so expect to see her hand behind the reports, performance analysis and development operations that keep our team moving forward.
My favorite memory of UNC was the cross country drive I took moving to Colorado to take the position at UNC. Driving in the midst of a nasty blizzard, I remember wondering ‘what have I gotten myself into,’ but thankfully that thought was short-lived and I love both working at UNC and living in Colorado.
