2008/2009 Submission Form

 

The Crucible serves as the voice of the UNC community to display the works of poets, writers, spoken word and visual artists, musicians, as well as others.

 

 

 

Simultaneous paper and email submissions required.

ONE Submission per form (5 pieces max per semester)

No originals—copies only.

Do not put your name on the work(s).

Submissions will not be returned.

 

DEADLINE:  January 26, 2009

1.     All initial submissions must be submitted by email in JPG format.
2.     All JPEG images must have a title and artist name.
3.     All black and white conversions must be titled BWV followed by title and artist name.
4.     The disc/s must have the artist name clearly marked on a clean label.
5.     Fill out submission form completely.
6.     Submit form and disc in a sealed, legal-letter sized envelope c/o The Crucible Art Committee in the English Department, Ross Hall or Campus Box 78: ATTN: United Student Literary Voices. Hand-deliver only!

            At this time, due to printing costs, most accepted works may be reproduced in print in black and white.  One submission will be chosen for the cover and may be either color or black and white.  Please submit both your original color work along with a converted black and white image (BWV). Please consider whether your color work will convert successfully to black and white.  Please also consider what size reduction will mean for your work.
