The Criminal Justice Department offers three annual scholarships to students majoring in Criminal Justice.
Two of these scholarships are awarded to selected qualified applicants as a tribute to 1988, murder victim, Lisa Marie Kimmell. The Kimmell family endorsed the establishment of the Lisa Marie Kimmell Memorial Scholarship to promote professionalism and technology in the criminal justice system. These scholarships are generally awarded to students with a junior or senior academic standing.  Students are encouraged to apply their sophomore year.
A third scholarship opportunity is provided through the Walt Frances Scholarship Fund.  This scholarship is awarded to a criminal justice major who is an outstanding University athlete with exceptional academic performance.

Students need to apply for this scholarship through the UNC Universal Scholarship Application
